Travel Pula

If there is only one place to visit in the Istrian Peninsula of Croatia then it has to be Pula. There are many things that make Pula special; among these are its cool crystal clear waters, medieval corridors and its ever famous Roman amphitheatre. The amphitheatre is the sixth largest in the worlds and is the favorite venue for concerts. The main event being held in the amphitheatre is the Pula Opera festival which is done during the summer period.

Other sights of interest in Pula which you must visit is the Arch of the Sergians which dates back from 29B.C. there is also the well preserved Temple of Augustus which was built between the years 2B.C.- 14 A.D.. The beaches of Pula are one of the most beautiful in Croatia. Don’t fail to head out to the beaches and explore the coves. After exploring, head out to the sea and experience one of the cleanest waters in the Mediterranean.

Getting to Pula is easy since it has its own international airport. Flights from the capital city of Zagreb are readily available as well as from major European cities. Most of the flights that the airport handles are chartered flights rather than scheduled flights so be prepared to book in advance.
